Argentine Patagonia is home to one of UNESCO's heritage treasures, perhaps the most valuable of them all: Los Glaciares National Park. The park is an immense glaciological field, among the largest in the world outside the polar ice caps.
The best-known glacier in this area is undoubtedly Perito Moreno, whose front is visible in the image above.
