I live just 3km from the train stationAfragola TAV, the only way to reach it is use the car. As you can see from the satellite image updated on 08/24/2017 there are only countryside around. The intentions of those who proposed the project were to make this station a hub to relieve rail traffic for commuters who do not need to travel. to stop in Naples as happens now. At the opening, the EAV line to Acerra (formerly Circumvesuviana Napoli-Acerra), the FS line to Caserta, buses and a large car park, partly free and partly paid, should have arrived.
At present (today, 06/13/2018) parking is not available. finished because it is under seizure due to the waste that was buried(it is also thought under the same station), that little of parking available (which had to be paid) is taken over by commuters who come to park outside too, therefore on the ring you see around the station. Work on the extension of the EAV line has not yet begun; same thing for the suppression works of the current Naples-Cancello-Caserta FS line which should then pass through the TAV station.
